On one hand, it's never been easier to make great recordings at home, but on the other there's so much information available today online about recording, both through random courses and resources like YouTube the information often seems to contradict itself.
Seemingly endless choice only confuses people and when combined with something as well intentioned as plug-in presets things seem to go wrong fast and people's finished mixes never quite sound right compared to commercial releases.
I realised this was a problem when I'd started to help friends with their own DAW sessions and discovered that simply by working with them on their projects together that I could really help them progress quickly and easily in a way which would be useful to them.
Mixingcoach.com offers two things - first one on one instruction tailored to you, using your own music and second - a community of other people going through the same challenges able to share information and support each other on their learning journey.
When I began as an engineer I could learn directly from other working, experienced engineers who could help me grow and that's what I am here to do for you.

Hi, I’m Adam, aka "Coach"
I started off as a musician but quickly realised that the studio was going to be my lifelong passion, and began a 20 year (and counting) career in music.
I learned the old school way, becoming an assistant, then engineer, producer and mixer. On that journey, I've worked with artists and producers from all over the world, for major and indie labels, was awarded a few platinum records and even had a hit or two!
Today I mix full time from my private studio and am excited to give back to the music world by helping others learn to make better recordings.
